My Dad Strongest!

Its been long that I am thinking of writing something about most charismatic man in my life... Late Shri Brijmohan Gupta... Ex Station Director- All India Radio, Popular Science writer for the world and My Dad. Its been a year we have lost him but recap of past 31 glorious years crosses my memory everyday. Not a moment when I had forgotten him. You only start valueing a relationship or thing once you loose, thankfully that was never the case with me. I loved my dad since ever. He being the critique, supporter, advisor and the guide, was always there with me, whether I needed him or not. His power presence use to make me feel that nothing is impossible if you are really determined to do it or have passion to do it. I beacme a researcher, ofcourse not by choice, but because of the fact that dad had encouraged and motivated me to take the path which is unique and almost untravelled for anyone from the educational background that I have. I have done MSc in Agrochemicals and Pest Management from University of Delhi and was almost clueless about what to do next when Research opportunity fell on my lap. Thanks to dad that he reminded me of my talent and encouraged me to take it up and here I am, Head of Idea and Insights with one of the leading PR firms in the country. Though dad is not here to see me achieving milestones, but his power presence ( I still feel him around) motivates me everyday to work on it and prove my mettle.
Curiosity was his mantra...he believed that if you are curious about something, you may find a way to achieve yor goal. He loved kids for their curiosity and sense of innocent questioning. Science, the subject that he had always talked or worked upon. Popularization of Science, by children and for children was his idea which is succesfully running as Children Science Congress across India.
There is alot that I wish to write and share with everyone about Dad and would do so in my following posts....
Till then, take care and happy reading.

  1. I felt very happy to go through your blog, "My Dad strongest!. Infact, It's one of the best tributes, I have come across, being paid by a daughter to her father after one year of his passing away. Another strongest point of his personality was the 'ever positive streak'which he not only had but was also 'infectious'to every person who came across him. This is also very much reflected in the way your family progressed during his presence and continues to do so in his absence! Every one of you should take pride in your achievements and have already proved that if not 'chip of the old block', you all are a shade even better than him. I wish you all the very best in life.
